Fall Prayer Update

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your prayers as we are still delayed in Canada and working through a treatment plan for Janeen. She is doing well on the new medication at a high dose to help with the flare ups from her auto-immune disease. I (Mitchell) am planning a trip to Papua New Guinea (PNG) from October 15- November 19 to meet with Kala and Binumarien translation teams.  I hope to work with all four dialect Kala teams for one week each and meet with the Binumarien team.

Please pray for me as I work on the logistics of the upcoming trip and prepare for work sessions with teams.  Pray that I would be able to communicate with teams in the remote villages so that they can come and work with me while I’m in PNG.

One weekend, I plan to travel out to the village where Ngasinom Alinga, one of our translators who was dear to us, passed away earlier this year.  Pray that God would bring comfort to the family in their loss.

A few months ago, we learned that our house in PNG flooded and that our main storage room in the house is mouldy.  I will need to work on throwing out mouldy items and getting the house ready for the family to return.  Pray that some people will be available to help with house cleaning and repairs.

Pray for Janeen and the children as they stay in Canada. Janeen’s specialist will assess her next week and again in December.  When Janeen has a good treatment plan in place and clearance from our mission’s doctor in PNG then we will be able to return overseas.  We thank God for the support we have from family and friends and especially for your prayers and partnership.

Blessings,

Mitchell & Janeen Michie
